Total Business Skills
This qualification is aimed at all level 2/3 qualified instructors and trainers and has been developed as an up-skill qualification for those wishing to learn more about starting a new business or how they can further develop an existing business. Areas covered include business planning, cash flow forecasting and marketing. There is a strong focus on how to apply this knowledge to ensure business success.
This is a REPS accredited course and carries 20 CPD points.
Objective
The objective of this course is to give you all of the skills you need to start and run your successful business within the fitness industry. On completion you will have this skills to develop a new business proposal, including business objectives, start up costs and cash flow forecasts. You will also learn how to develop a marketing strategy in line with your business proposal, including SWOT analysis, market research and a promotional plan.
Course Content
On completion of Total Business Skills Introduction you will be able to;
- Understand how to develop a proposal to start a new business
- Develop a proposal to start a new business
- Understand how to develop a marketing strategy in line with a business proposal
- Develop a marketing strategy in line with a business proposal
Assessment
The assessment is made up of a task based worksheet to be completed following the course and returned to Total Fitness Education for marking.
Pre-Requisites
Learners must hold a minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness instructing or higher e.g. Certificate in Personal Training, Diploma in Instructing Pilates.
There is also an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and Learners should have basic skills in communication.
